Welcome To Second Grade

Dear 2^nd Grade Honey Bees and Families,

        Are you ready for 2ND GRADE?!!  I hope you enjoyed your summer and you are ready for a successful year here at Florence Hill Elementary. 

My name is Mrs. GarVera Green.   This is my 16th year of teaching! Wow! I can't even believe it.  My experience includes 10 years of teaching 3rd grade and 5 years teaching 5th grade.  You can be assured that  I will create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment in order for you to grow as a student. 

Parents, I look forward to getting to know you as well.  We will work as a team for student success. Therefore, please feel free to communicate me with any questions or concerns.  This year students will be responsible for updating their agenda to record assignments, reminders, and behavior.  I would like for all students to have a three ring binder for their agenda. If you can, please provide one for your student.  In the binder, there will be the student’s Reading Log and a Math Facts Log.  Please check and sign the agenda so that we may communicate daily.    

I love technology and I create opportunities for students to navigate equipment and the internet. We will have a classroom blog. Students, we will visit the website frequently during the school year. Parents, please check the blog for updates.
